Stratasys has unveiled the iAM Marketplace, an independent, hardware-agnostic platform designed to centralize access to polymer additive manufacturing (AM) materials, engineering services, and products. The platform will officially debut at Formnext 2025 in Frankfurt, Germany (November 18–21). A launch event is scheduled for November 18 at 2:00 p.m. CET at the Stratasys booth (Hall 11.1, Booth C11).

Creating a centralized hub for polymer AM
The iAM Marketplace provides a single ecosystem for manufacturers to source certified materials and solutions compatible with multiple hardware systems. It integrates the expertise and assets of brands like iSQUARED, Forward AM, and Nexa3D, simplifying the procurement process and offering unprecedented material choice.
A strategic pivot to serve the entire industry
The launch marks a significant evolution in Stratasys’ materials strategy, expanding its reach beyond its proprietary systems. By adopting an open-access model and consolidating leading suppliers, Stratasys aims to lower entry barriers and foster collaboration across the entire polymer AM supply chain.
“The launch of iAM Marketplace is a bold step forward in our materials strategy,” said Yoav Zeif, CEO of Stratasys. “It provides all manufacturers with a broad portfolio of quality-certified materials, machines, and expertise, enabling faster innovation and stronger supply resilience.
”The marketplace complements Stratasys’ existing portfolio of certified materials, giving customers the flexibility to choose between guaranteed high-performance options for Stratasys systems and a wider range of open materials for the broader AM ecosystem.
Strengthening its polymer ecosystem through strategic acquisitions
The iAM Marketplace launch builds on a series of strategic moves by Stratasys to strengthen its position across the polymer additive manufacturing value chain. In 2025, the company acquired assets from Nexa3D, integrating complementary technologies and expertise to enhance its resin-based and high-speed printing capabilities.
This followed the earlier acquisition of Forward AM assets, which expanded Stratasys’ portfolio of high-performance materials and reinforced its presence in sectors such as automotive, healthcare, and consumer goods.
At the same time, Stratasys remains engaged in ongoing legal proceedings with Bambu Lab, a reminder of the competitive and rapidly evolving nature of the polymer AM market as companies vie to define the future of materials and workflow integration.
