i.materialise’s online 3D print lab interface has had a bit of a make over – while the original functionality remains, some new additions make the selection and ordering process just that little bit easier.
To use the i.materialise 3D print lab, it is still possible to get instant quoting without a specific login by uploading a 3D design file however for material selection and colour options, there are some definite improvements. This includes offering prices for all materials available for the uploaded design — together in one place — previously only the default material (polyamide) was shown until further materials were specified.
The upgrade also includes more distinctive colour and finish options available from the lab.
And finally, one the material of choice has been selected, a description will be made available together with production times to allow more definitive planning by the user.
All in all, this overhaul points to i.materialise listening to what its customers want and need as they work towards refining the service and quality of 3D printing from the lab.
