Formnext reports record-beating registrations

Formnext has gotten off to a fast start in 2023, with the most registrations to date ever. By the end of February, over 550 companies had registered to attend the world’s premier trade show.

Global AM technology and next-generation manufacturing will be on display in November, with 62% of exhibitor registrations coming from outside Germany. Formnext says it is producing a variety of specialty solutions for the November Show and is rapidly becoming a 365-day Additive Manufacturing hub.

Formnext’s impressive registration results reflect the AM industry’s sustained growth and bullish mood. Companies that have already registered to exhibit at the in-person event include 3D Systems, Additive Industries, Arburg, BigRep, Carbon, DMG Mori, Dyemansion, Dyndrite, EOS, EPlus, Farsoon, Formlabs, GE Additive, GKN Sinter Metals Components, Hage 3D, Hexagon, HP, Keyence, Markforged, Massivit, Nexa3D, Open Mind, Prima Additive, and Renishaw. Furthermore, multinational groups across the whole process chain, including BASF, Bosch, Evonik, Höganäs, Linde, Nikon, Oerlikon, and Praxair, will demonstrate solutions for the industrial 3D printing industry.

Contract manufacturers specializing in 3D printing are frequently the entry point for users into additive manufacturing. FKM Sintertechnik, Jabil, Materialise, Promod Prototypenzentrum, and Quickparts are among the companies that have already registered.

“The entire industry is developing at a breathtaking pace and offers enormous growth opportunities, both for established companies as well as for start-ups and SMEs that are discovering additive manufacturing for themselves,” says Sascha F. Wenzler, Vice President Formnext at event organizer Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH. “The number of suppliers using Formnext to successfully establish and expand their offerings around additive manufacturing and along the process chain is growing all the time.”

Additive Manufacturing Center

Outside the show floor, from November 7 to 10, 2023. In addition to the most recent industry news, the quarterly Formnext Magazine includes detailed market reports and intriguing interviews with AM specialists.

The Formnext Newsroom has headlines from chosen trade media, including 3D Printing Industry, whereas Formnext TV broadcasts live from the trade show. The AM Field Guide, a concise reference book for a wide range of additive technologies, provides a helpful introduction and covers the fundamental features of particular AM processes.

“The AM industry is innovative, and developments are moving so fast that ongoing discussion is vital,” explains Wenzler. “By incorporating additive technologies into the design and construction of components and products, we can identify more and more profitable additive manufacturing applications. A lively and active industry dialog accelerates this process.”

Formnext plans to increase its content, inspiring many more users to use the benefits of additive manufacturing.

Formnext, with its numerous media and formats, is aimed at a broad audience from a variety of industries and is quickly becoming a focus for everything related to the additive manufacturing business. “We organize highly specialized technology trade fairs and therefore know the various stakeholders in our industries very well,” explains Petra Haarburger, President at Mesago Messe Frankfurt. “With events like Formnext, we fulfill the mission of bringing together the key stakeholders to sustainably connect technology, business, and community. By offering additional formats, we underline our determination to accomplish this goal on a year-round basis and support the AM sector as a specialist partner in addition to the trade fair.”

A better conference layout

Formnext has improved the organization of its conferencing program. This year’s conference program will be held in three phases in the exhibition halls for the first time. The many emphasis areas encompass significant AM trends and applications, as well as the technologies and innovations of exhibitors, to give visitors a convenient and effective approach to find the product or service they are searching for. This will allow Formnext to continue to create essential dialogue between technology suppliers and users, as well as make the information available to all stakeholders in the halls.

The Industrial Stage focuses on timely, critical subjects like Sustainability and digitization will be highlighted on November 7th and 10th, 2023. The agenda, however, includes fresh business opportunities as well as important insights into specialized areas such as start-up and funding. The industry stage event, which will feature panel discussions and interviews, will be live streamed on Formnext.TV.

The application stage will feature a variety of innovative applications from many industries on each day of the trade exhibition, including mechanical and plant engineering, the automobile industry, aerospace, medical technology, electrical engineering, tool and die making, and automation. This will throw light on each industry’s complete process chain.

On the technology stage, Formnext exhibitors’ innovations are displayed. Each day of the show, there will be a morning and afternoon session where materials, pre-processing, AM production, and post-processing advancements will be displayed and debated.

The call for speakers for the conference program is planned to begin in early April.
