K1 series – the king of speed

Creality’s new flagship FDM K1 series, including the K1 and K1 Max, is a new professional-grade CoreXY 3D printer lineup which can be purchased from the Creality store

Notable for impressive print speeds of up to 600mm/s, the lineup also boasts significant build volumes of up to 300*300*300 mm. Additionally, the K1 series features an innovative motion system, which utilizes a lightweight printhead weighing just 190g to ensure swift movement. In fact, according to data collected from the Creality Lab, the K1 series accelerates at 20000mm/s², reaching its top printing speed of 600mm/s in just 0.03s. Moreover, the system is capable of printing a 3DBenchy in only 13 minutes, 12 times faster than average.

A new generation of Creality OS which runs on a 2-core 1.2 GHz CPU is incorporated into the K1 series, providing strong computing power for high-speed printing. The K1 series also possesses a network connection, allowing the printers to be remotely controlled or monitored from Creality print or Creality Cloud, with cluster control also available when multiple K1 series printers are online. A notification is also automatically sent to the user’s phone or PC when the printing is finished or a printing issue is detected, further enhancing the user experience.

With slicing being crucial when it comes to high-speed printing, the K1 series utilizes Creality’s Print 4.3 software. This newest generation of the company’s self-developed slicing software incorporates more algorithms to raise efficiency, offering optimized nozzle movement for faster prints.

Print bed leveling has also been optimized, with the K1 Max in particular utilizing dual hands-free auto leveling. Whilst one method uses an array of strain sensors to successfully level the print bed, the other levels with 1μm AI LiDAR. This new non-contact measurement method uses a laser to rapidly scan the build surface, forming a virtual surface of a million points in the process for fast and precise leveling. Both methods ensure good quality leveling, and when combined, it has never been easier to achieve perfect leveling and print a perfect first layer.

The K1 Max also features an AI camera inside the print chamber, enabling real-time print monitoring with 1080p resolution. For K1 users, the AI camera and AI LiDAR can be purchased separately, whilst both K1 and K1 Max models employ G-sensors to prevent resonance and eliminate ringing or ghosting patterns on the surface of models caused by high-speed printing.

The K1 and K1 Max are both available to pre-order now from Creality Official Stores, and local stores in the US and EU.
