Connex3 Multi-Colour 3D Printing Comes to the UK & Will be On Show Next Week at D3D

Professional 3D Printing service provider IPF Limited was already able to boast the largest Objet 3D printing capacity in the UK. With three original Objet500 Connex multi-material platforms operating to fulfill growing demand from a broad range of clients, and the odd student, it was never going to be long before the company added a splash of colour. The company’s portfolio also includes Stratasys FDM machines and Envisiontec 3D printers.

D3D-LIVE-2014

Gary Miller, IPF’s Head of 3D Printing and Rapid Prototyping and the greatest advocate of 3D printing in the UK, as far as I’m concerned, informs me that the end of last week saw the Objet 500 Connex 3 delivered to the Nazeing, Essex based facility. And with the team putting their experience and expertise to good use, this large frame, industrial 3D printer was fully installed and running by Monday. I’m reliably informed that they have been “printing fun ever since.” And therein lies the original source of IPF’s success — they love what they do and they spread the joy. IPF is the first UK-based organisation to have the Connex 3 installed and running, the service is available to clients immediately. Although, it is taking a day off next week, to make an appearance at the Develop3D Live show in Coventry.

Develop3D 3D PrintingVisitors to this annual product development show will be able to see the Connex3 up close and personal as well as what it can do — there will be plenty of parts to inspect. It’s an event that is always on my 3D printing calendar — organised by the brilliant team behind the magazine of the same name, it’s always informative, always original and ALWAYS fun. Having the Connex3 there is a bit of a coup for the team and an added bonus for any attendees.

IPF will be one of 60 exhibitors on the day, and with four conference streams running throughout the day, one’s only complaint is why one day??? Seriously, how are you supposed to fit everything in? The 3D printing track is looking good, and obviously top priority for me. There are some stand-out presentation titles across the board though, so again, how are we supposed to choose?
