Carfulan Group, a UK provider of advanced manufacturing solutions, secured nearly £1 million in new orders at MACH in what it described as its strongest appearance at the exhibition to date. Across the five-day event, deals were signed across Metrios, which supplies shopfloor measurement systems, OGP, a manufacturer of metrology equipment, VICIVISION, which develops optical measurement systems for turned parts, and ZOLLER, a supplier of tool presetting and inspection technology. In total, 1,810 enquiries were recorded, many of which are now progressing to on-site visits or demonstrations at the group’s Advanced Innovation Centre in Derbyshire.
Carfulan’s stand included three UK firsts and two show debuts across measurement, tooling, inspection, and additive manufacturing technologies. “We went to MACH with our biggest ever showcase of technologies that help manufacturers reduce set-up times, achieve greater accuracy and support new products to get to market quicker,” explained Chris Fulton, Managing Director of Carfulan Group.

Metrology systems formed a central part of the display. OGP UK’s new M-Series was shown as a multisensor metrology platform, with the M50 system and its Intellicentric-M system designed for customers requiring high accuracy across complex, multi-feature components. Metrios 332 was also presented for rapid shopfloor measurement. VICIVISION’s Techno 918 turned part inspection system appeared in a configuration combining a conical laser and scanning probe. “There was three UK ‘firsts’ and two ‘show’ debuts and this saw us attract the biggest footfall in our history. The appetite for embracing new technology to boost productivity was evident and, despite a challenging political and economic environment, firms are still keen to invest if they can achieve efficiency gains. That’s exactly what we are giving them.”
ZOLLER’s Tool Balancer and ToolStation made their MACH debuts, while SYS Systems received more than 250 additive manufacturing enquiries. “Additive manufacturing continues to expand its boundaries, and, as a result, we received over 250 enquiries for SYS Systems, with a large proportion being to explore the power of The Origin Two and Fortus 450 Gen 3.”

Fulton also linked the exhibition pipeline to future sales and post-show demonstrations. “With the leads we’re progressing, I’m confident we’ll secure over £3m of new business as a result of attending the UK’s largest industrial show and we are already planning to be at MACH 2028. For companies who couldn’t visit, we’re offering an open invite to visit our Advanced Innovation Centre and get a live demonstration of any of our latest solutions. In some instances, we can even test our technology on existing products that are causing them issues.”

Carfulan Expands A Long-Built Manufacturing Model
Carfulan’s results at MACH followed a year of growth across the same areas highlighted at the show. Over the previous twelve months, the Derbyshire manufacturer reported record revenue of £22.3 million, up 17 percent year on year, with demand coming from automation, additive manufacturing, and precision-measurement technologies, alongside increased defence-sector investment. Operations are centered at its £3 million Advanced Innovation Centre, which functions as a demonstration, training, and support hub. Recent product activity across the group also aligned closely with the MACH display, including OGP’s M-Series, VICIVISION’s confocal-laser integration for Techno systems, and Metrios 332 platform.
That structure has been visible for years. In 2018, Carfulan’s Derby open house showed how OGP UK, ZOLLER, VICIVISION, and SYS Systems were already being presented as linked parts of one manufacturing offering, combining metrology, tool-related systems, machine support, and 3D printing. At that stage, SYS Systems had already spent about a decade inside the group and was showing Stratasys equipment alongside new XJet distribution activity. That earlier event helps explain the logic behind Carfulan’s MACH presence: the company was not presenting isolated machines, but a cross-division package built around inspection, tooling control, and additive manufacturing in the same customer environment.
