Baboi Box: The Crowd-funded 3D Printer Electronic Kit

The Baboi Box is a complete electronic kit for 3D printer beginners. Baboi Box is an all-in-one 3D printer controller that allows you to fully control your 3D Printer without connecting to any other devices. It is deigned to be compatible with most of the 3D printers currently on the market and can be used for all kinds of stepper motors. Everything is pre-labelled, set up and organised. This more-or-less leaves the maker to merely find the right pins and make simple connections.

Essentially the Baboi Box is a 4-Layer PCB with power distribution networks. The maximum length and width of the Baboi are 115 and 60 mm respectively, with the USB connector and power terminals extending beyond the former dimension. Three screw holes allow the board to be attached to a surface or case. The UART serial port is also connected as external pins for a Raspberry Pi for further development uses. Baboi has a resettable polyfuse as protection from shorts and over-current if more than 500 mA is applied to the USB port, as an additional layer of protection to that which your computer should already have.

Put simply, as much could be written here:

One Baboi Box = Arduino Mega 2560 + Ramp 1.4 + (4x Motor Drivers) + SD card Reader + 20X4 LCD Display + Joystick controller + Cooling Fan + Laser cut wood case + (Software upgraded with 3 modes) + hardware set up + fully tested
