AtomForm unveils 12-nozzle Palette 300 multi-material 3D printer at CES 2026

AtomForm, a MOVA Group consumer and professional 3D printing hardware company, has unveiled the Palette 300, a 12-nozzle desktop 3D printer designed for high-speed, multi-color and multi-material printing. The system was announced on January 6, 2026, at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, where it is being exhibited at the MOVA Group booth in the LVCC North Hall.

According to the company, the Palette 300 is capable of printing with up to 36 colors and 12 materials in a single build. AtomForm says the platform is aimed at professional creators, designers, educators, and advanced hobbyists seeking faster material changes and reduced filament waste compared with existing multi-material systems.

Founded in 2023, AtomForm focuses on developing smart hardware systems for creative fabrication. The Palette 300 represents the company’s first commercial 3D printer.

Twelve dedicated nozzles and automated swapping

At the core of the Palette 300 is a 12-nozzle architecture, with each nozzle dedicated to a single filament. AtomForm says this approach eliminates the need for frequent purging and reloading, a common limitation of tool-changing and single-nozzle color-mixing systems.

The printer uses AtomForm’s OmniElement automatic nozzle swapping system, which the company claims reduces filament waste by up to 90% while maintaining dimensional accuracy of ±0.02 mm. Maximum print speeds are rated at 800 mm/s, with acceleration up to 25,000 mm/s².

The system offers a build volume of 300 × 300 × 300 mm and integrates with up to six AtomForm RFD-6 filament boxes, supporting a total of 36 spools, each with independent drying technology, according to the company.

AI-assisted monitoring and calibration

AtomForm says the Palette 300 incorporates more than 50 sensors and four AI-powered cameras to monitor the printing process in real time. These systems are designed to automate nozzle calibration, detect defects, and improve first-time print success rates.

The printer is rated for operation at ≤48 dB and includes onboard air filtration, positioning it for use in classrooms, studios, and shared workspaces. AtomForm adds that the system is intended to reduce setup complexity while supporting advanced multi-material workflows.

Market positioning and availability

“The Palette 300 isn’t about incremental improvement, it’s about removing the long-standing barriers of multi-color, multi-material 3D printing,” said Jagger Shang, Head of Product at AtomForm. “With 12 nozzles, intelligent filament management, and AI precision, creators don’t have to choose between speed, detail, or material diversity.”

The Palette 300 will be commercially available in early Q2 2026, with a list price of $2,199. AtomForm plans to offer early discounts through a Kickstarter pre-order campaign launching in early Q1 2026.

Multi-material 3D printing

Multi-material and multi-nozzle architectures were a major focus across the 3D printing industry in 2025, as manufacturers sought to reduce filament waste and improve workflow automation. Desktop platforms such as the Bambu Lab H2C highlighted a move toward sensor-assisted, multi-material printing.

Phrozen’s ARCO multicolor FDM printer uses interchangeable nozzles tailored to different extrusion tasks, highlighting diversifying hardware strategies for multi-material workflows. Reviews of the Bambu Lab H2D Pro underscore how dual-nozzle systems are being positioned for professional multi-material use.

Ecosystem upgrades such as Prusa Research and Bondtech’s 8-material INDX expansion for the Prusa CORE One further reflect ongoing investment in flexible material handling. Large-format multi-material systems such as the Prusa XL, remain benchmarks for build volume and multi-material capability.
