3DS Receives RAMP Award

3D Systems has enjoyed a successful year, and it ends on an equally high note, as the company’s Paramount team was selected as one of Pennsylvania’s RAMP (Research for Advanced Manufacturing in Pennsylvania) awardees.

The Keystone State has received valuable know-how and other resources from 3DS for the development of nano composites – to be used with its proprietary SLS 3D printing tech and meeting the state’s custom manufacturing vision and requirements.

The Paramount team, which offers AS9100C and ISO9001:2008 certified rapid product development and manufacturing services, has worked in collaboration with Lehigh University on the project. They were awarded due to their competitiveness regarding demonstration of the tech and manufacturing readiness.

Jim Williams, MD of 3DS’s Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing division appraises the award: “This award represents our unwavering commitment to the research, development and commercialization of rapid manufacturing solutions. The success of this project will benefit Pennsylvania directly, as well as our nation, as the interest in 3D printing and advanced digital manufacturing continues to grow.”

Congratulations, once again, to 3DS for another award from all of us at 3D Printing Industry!
