Tracheobronchomalacia is a rare condition where you can only take shallow breaths, sometimes having trouble breathing at all, in the worst case leading to death. Glenn E. Green, MD, an Associate Professor of Pediatric Otolaryngology and Scott J. Hollister, PhD, a Professor of Bioengineering got together to try to find a cure for Tracheobronchomalacia, with the help of 3D Printing. Together they attended TEDxUofM to talk about 3D-printed biomaterials for tissue reconstruction.
