fabWeaver to begin deliveries of type A530 3D printer – technical specifications and pricing

Sindoh-backed 3D printer OEM fabWeaver has announced the global launch of its debut 3D printing system, the type A530.

Aimed at design studios, engineering enterprises, and manufacturing firms, the professional-grade FFF system is described as a ‘3D prototyping workstation’. It claims to combine cost-efficiency, office-friendliness, and industrial capabilities primarily for mid-range functional prototyping applications.

The South Korea-based manufacturer has equipped its system with a build volume measuring 310 x 310 x 310mm, print speeds of up to 200mm/s, and an independent dual extrusion setup (IDEX).

Jae-hak Jeon, President of Sindoh VINA, said, “This 3D printer has uniqueness and distinction of its own, simply different from the other 3D printers that we have produced, we are looking forward to seeing the success of the type A530.”

The up-and-coming fabWeaver

Despite the unfamiliar name, fabWeaver is no amateur in the 3D printing space. The company is essentially Sindoh’s attempt to tackle the professional market, giving it a jumpstart with its first product launch.

According to the firm, it’s on a mission to make professional 3D printing accessible to just about any anyone who has a knack for creating.

“There’s a sweet spot in the industrial 3D printing market that has been looking for faster, more durable 3D printed parts that teams can create more affordably,” said Jesus Fernandez, CEO of 3D printing service bureau Leon 3D. “The fabWeaver type A530 is an exciting prototyping option that can answer that need, and help a wide variety of organizations to improve lead times with minimal cost.”

The company’s debut system has already made a showing at Formnext 2021 in Frankfurt, AMUG 2022 in Chicago, as well as Rapid + TCT 2022 in Detroit.

The type A530 3D printer

Targeting budget-conscious users, fabWeaver’s type A530 aims to provide industrial-level print quality in an accessible package. The FFF system comes complete with an enclosed build chamber capable of heating to 75℃, a nozzle temperature of 290℃, and a bed temperature of 110℃. The machine also has a flexible build plate for easier build removal.

The company boasts dimensional accuracies of up to 0.2mm (or 0.2%), along with auto leveling and auto calibration functionality for ease of use. One of the nozzles is built for ABS and ASA, while the other is designed to process RSA, a soluble support offering. Users also have the option to load up a double PLA combination for multi-material parts.

fabWeaver has turned the entire front face of the A530 into an “intuitive display”, whereby LED lighting lines the sides of the door to indicate the status of the printer at a quick glance. Green means a print is finished, amber signifies a notification, while red is an omen for errors.

Above the door is a clean 7” touchscreen for printer operation, while internal power recovery functionality helps to preserve printing progress in the case of a power cut.

For increased productivity, customers also have the option to integrate the A530 with the company’s smartStation, a dedicated automatic filament switching system. The device can hold up to four spools of material at a time to enable non-stop 3D printing for longer periods of time. It also maintains optimal humidity to keep the stored spools in good shape, regardless of the ambient conditions.
