Zhuhai CTC Electronic Co., a leading 3D printing manufacturer in China held a press conference on May 28th, announcing the release of the CTC Giant 3D printer. The printer developed by open source 3D printer maker Ultimaker, is seen as a mammoth among traditional desktop printers. It will come with the popular Cura slicing software and has a huge maximum print size of 305mm X 305mm X 405mm!
The printer made its debut at the Zhuhai, China press conference, and has several features that make stand out on the market apart from its size and massive print size. The CTC Giant 3D printer has an option to be untethered and can be operated by remote control through a laptop, smartphone or tablet. Special apps accompany the printer that can be used on iOS and Android to simplify this process. The Giant has a sharp, streamlined design made of stainless steel that will function well in a wide variety of environments from schools to high-end users.
Giant 3D printer is the first of CTC’s super-sized product line, committed to bringing desktop 3D printing to a whole new level. Think big, print big. The price point of the printer is $2,500 USD and is currently available on Suning, Tmall and JD.
