Europe’s leading additive manufacturing exhibition and conference Formnext will be returning from 19 to 22 November 2019.
Due to significant growth from the 2018 show Formnext 2019, with over 740 exhibitors , will take place in Halls 11 and 12 of the Messe Frankfurt exhibition grounds. The event will also see the U.S. participate as a partner country for the first time, with major American 3D printing companies in attendance, including 3D Systems, Carbon, Desktop Metal, ExOne, HP, Markforged and more.
3D Printing Industry will be in Frankfurt, Germany to keep you up to date on all the latest news, insights and releases from Formnext 2019. Read on and take a look at what to expect from the trade fair, including a host of forthcoming product releases, presentations and exhibits.
New 3D printing technology releases
German machine tool manufacturer TRUMPF has hinted at a new addition to its TruPrint family of laser metal fusion (LMF) 3D printers. According to the company, the new machine concept ensures cost-effectiveness, and offers high component quality. As well as the new system, TRUMPF will also be exhibiting the rest of its TruPrint 3D printers, including the TruPrint 5000, the TruPrint 3000 and the TruPrint 1000. You can catch TRUMPF’s metal 3D printing solutions in hall 12.0, at the E61 booth.
Leading 3D printer OEM Stratasys can be found at stand D61 in hall 12.1 during Formnext 2019. The company is expected to showcase a range of new 3D printing hardware, materials and software, including a premier of its newly released J850 multi-material and full-color PolyJet 3D printer. A key focus of Stratasys’ stand will be on applications utilizing its technology, with various customer parts from numerous industries on display.
Austrian ceramic 3D printing specialist Lithoz is set to attend this year’s trade show, exhibiting from booth D32 in hall 11.1. The company will be presenting its CeraFab System modular 3D printers, comprising three machines: S65, released earlier this year, as well as the new S230 and S25 systems. Equipped with Lithoz’s Lithography-based Ceramic Manufacturing (LCM) technology, the three systems come in different sizes in terms of build platform, with different resolutions as well.
Other new lithography-based 3D printers set to be showcased at Formnext 2019 arrives from a new entry within the metal 3D printing market. Incus GmbH, a startup OEM from Vienna, Austria, has announced the forthcoming launch of a lithography-based metal additive manufacturing method for Formnext 2019.
In post-processing. this year’s show will also see the launch of DyeMansion’s new VaporFuse Surfacing system the Powerfuse S.
Hardware, software and materials at Formnext 2019
FELIXprinters, a Netherlands-based 3D printer manufacturer, is attending Formnext 2019 to showcase its range of additive manufacturing machines and platforms. As well as presenting its two large-format FDM/FFF printers released earlier this year, the Pro L and XL, FELIXprinters will also be detailing its move into bioprinting with the FELIX BIO. The company can be located at the Formnext 2019 show on booth A66 in hall 12.1.
Guillaume Feliksdal, Co-Founder at FELIXprinters states, “Formnext in our eyes is by far the most influential show for industrial users of AM for production applications. As such we are excited to attend this year, prominent on our booth being the larger build envelope machines, the Pro L and XL, specifically designed for exacting industrial production projects.”
Desktop 3D printer provider and Stratasys subsidiary MakerBot will be exhibiting its METHOD X 3D printer at stand F99, hall 12.1. A new addition to the METHOD line of machines, the METHOD X has been made to fill a niche in the market between desktop and industrial systems, identified by MakerBot as “Performance” 3D printers.
LEO Lane, a provider of file security and IP protection systems, is expected to showcase its Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution to demonstrate to users how it can help to establish secure and consistent additive manufacturing. Visit the LEO Lane stand at B81A in Hall 12 to learn more about SaaS’s ability to track and audit assets through digital inventory, therefore providing greater production control and savings.
Santa Fe-based additive manufacturing software developer Sigma Labs plans to demonstrate its proprietary PrintRite3D Real-Time Melt Pool Analytics software platform at Formnext 2019. Having launched Print3D version 5.0 at RAPID+TCT this year, the company will be showcasing the new enhancements of the next update, PrintRite3D 5.1, in Hall 12, Stand E49. New features include an automated anomaly detection and enhanced detail data trend analysis.
Presentations to see at Formnext 2019
The Technical University (TU) Darmstadt will be hosting an event focusing on additive activities in the construction industry and architecture, named BE-AM Symposium. Bringing together experts from the field of construction, as well as within research and industry, the symposium will explore and discuss the current state and future potential of additive manufacturing within the construction sector. The BE-AM Symposium will take place on 20 November in Portalhaus Level 1 – Conference Room Transparenz 1.
3D printing startups will also be taking the AM4U stage in hall 11.0-F71, in the Start-up Area, to demonstrate their technologies and explain why it is worth investing in their business ideas. The pitches, taking place on 19 November, will be divided across four topics, including applications, software, materials and hardware. It will also include presentations from the winners of the Formnext 2019 Start-Up challenge.
