Virtumake is a German based hobbyist maker of 3D scanners. His latest project is called the VirtuZoom Microscope 3D-Scanner, which was built to scan tiny objects and then magnify them ready for 3D printing. The smallest objects can be as tiny as the 1 Euro cent coin. The project is open source and free for anyone interested. You can see the cool samples of the scanner’s output in the video below.
