SLM Solutions Group AG, a provider of metal additive manufacturing machines, is expanding its operating subsidiary management team to include Andreas Frahm, who has been appointed for his sales and service expertise. Mr Frahm was a member of the executive management team at the Luebeck-based Dräger Group – a leading manufacturer of medical and safety technology – before being appointed managing director at SLM Solutions GmbH earlier this month. Frahm will be responsible for international sales, marketing and service activities at SLM Solutions.
CEO of SLM Solutions Group AG, Dr. Markus Rechlin said: “With Andreas Frahm we have recruited a sales expert who deeply knows the international markets – which will prove particularly beneficial to us given SLM Solutions’ strategic orientation: along with stronger R&D and developing our business with consumables, expanding our international sales in Asia and the USA forms the third pillar of our corporate strategy. With this expansion, we are positioning our management team on a broader base.”
Frahm joined the Dräger group after graduating in industrial engineering at the Hamburg University of Technology. It was at Dräger Medical, with almost twenty years of experience at the company, that he gained extensive expertise in implementing regional and group-wide sales and service strategies. With a career that saw him based in various locations, in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, his most recent appointment was the position of Chief Sales Officer at the Dräger Group at their home in Luebeck.
