Shining 3D launches its AccuFab-L4K 3D printer and Transcan C scanner at Formnext

Shining 3D, a China-based manufacturer of 3D printing technology, has launched a new resin-based 3D printer and a new 3D scanner at Formnext 2021.

The AccuFab-L4K printer combines a sizable build volume with a 4K resolution LCD, and is designed for both functional prototyping and low-volume end-use production for applications in engineering, medical devices, and more.

On the other hand, the Transcan C is a professional-grade 3D scanner capable of capturing full-color model scans.

Sunny Wong, Managing Director Overseas at SHINING 3D, states, “As our goal is to make 3D digital applications accessible for everybody, we are developing solutions answering to our customer´s needs. The latest additions to the product portfolio empower fast, efficient, high-performing, and accessible 3D printing as well as high-resolution 3D scanning. We are proud to continuously add innovations to our product portfolio, facilitating and upgrading the 3D digital workflow for more and more users around the world!”

The AccuFab-L4K 3D printer

Equipped with a 192 x 120 x 180mm build volume, the AccuFab-L4K is Shining 3D’s latest 4K LCD 3D printer. The high-precision system reportedly delivers IT7- level printing accuracy, qualifying the machine for professional-grade applications. According to the firm, the AccuFab-L4K offers an excellent light uniformity of up to 90%, ensuring consistency across all areas of the build plate.

The machine also features what Shining 3D calls a District Cooling System, which maintains a temperature of below 40℃ to extend the lifespan of the 3D printer. Using the AccuFab-L4K, customers will be able to leverage the company’s entire portfolio of resins, including Standard Resin, Bio-compatible Resin, and Water Washable Resin.

As far as connectivity goes, users have the option to choose between Wi-Fi, ethernet, and USB.

The Transcan C 3D scanner

Shining 3D’s new Transcan C is based on structured white light LED technology, which is safe for the human eye. The device comes complete with a slide rail design allowing users to dynamically switch between two different scan ranges, enabling both small and large part scanning.

The company has also implemented a Multi-Resolution Fusion Algorithm capable of mixing three levels of resolution, which reportedly improves scanning efficiency without duplicating sections of a scan. Two 12 MP color cameras work to capture highly-detailed 24-bit color maps with an inner position accuracy of 0.035 mm and an outer position resolution of 0.05 mm.
