RIZE partners with SOLIDWORKS reseller Instadesign Group

RIZE, the Boston-based provider and proprietary holder of Augmented Polymer Deposition (APD) technology, has announced a partnership with Instadesign Group, a SOLIDWORKS Certified Solution Reseller based in Québec.

As an authorized reseller, Instadesign will accelerate RIZE’s APD’s technology in the Canadian market. Stéphane Dufour, President of Instadesign said, “RIZE has done something completely unique in the additive manufacturing industry that accelerates sustainable design and innovation.”

With their voxel-level technology, RIZE has made industrial 3D printing safe and easy, while enabling full digital traceability of 3D printed parts to the original designs.”

“The seamless integration of SOLIDWORKS and RIZE is also of great interest to our customers and will expand the use of additive manufacturing among SOLIDWORKS users in our region.”

Instadesign and RIZE

Founded in 1994, Instadesign specializes in product development, engineering, and industrial design. The company offers product development services as well as outsources support services for mechanical development. SOLIDWORKS CAD software, published by Dassault Systèmes, is included within the company’s technology portfolio.

Andy Kalambi, President and CEO of RIZE, and former global executive of 3DEXPERIENCE at Dassault Systèmes added, “As a member of the innovative SOLIDWORKS ecosystem and with a rich heritage in product design and development, Instadesign is ideally positioned to bring the unique benefits of RIZE’s hybrid Augmented Deposition additive manufacturing technology to customers in the Quebec market.”

Augmented Polymer Deposition

RIZE’s APD technology combines FFF, which is extrusion based, with material jetting. As such, the process involves white plastic extruded through a nozzle, which is then colored by an inkjet print head using “Release Ink.”

Based on APD, RIZE has developed two multi-color 3D printers, this includes the RIZE ONE, known for an ability to render images on white parts in blue ink, as well as the latest XRIZE.

In addition, the company recently introduced what they are calling the first 3D printed Digitally Augmented Parts (DAP) to enable the creation of “functional 3D printed parts with digital information” such as QR codes, on plastic components.

RIZE will demonstrate its Augmented Deposition technology at SOLIDWORKS World 2019 in Dallas, TX, February 10-13, 2019, in Booth 227.
