According to the Autodesk Product Line Manager, Chris Cheung, “The latest SketchBook Pro really builds on the qualities that have made the product so adored.” He continued that “The new brushes bring a more traditional feel and versatility to the application, but equally important are the enhancements we’ve made to performance and user interface. SketchBook Pro 6 is going to be exciting for new both new and experienced users!”

SketchBook Pro 6 features more than 100 preset brushes, featuring familiar tools, such as pencils, paintbrushes, markers, airbrushes, erasers, flood fill tools, and smudge brushes. The brushes are adjustable and can be further customized to produce a wide variety of character. Settings to randomize spacing, rotation, size, and opacity offer even more options for the artist.

It will be interesting to see how this launch will effect on Autodesk’s sales in the near future. The company just released their second quarter results that were lower than expected, and they recently announced staff cuts of more than 500 employees, who represent 7% of the total workforce.
