Mulherin promoted to Wi3DP President

Starting this week’s update with the latest hires, additive manufacturing inclusivity non-profit Women in 3D Printing has announced the appointment of Kristin Mulherin as its new President. Following a restructuring of the group’s leadership, Founder Nora Touré, who has led its expansion since 2014, will step into the role of Chairwoman of the Wi3DP Board, thus remaining involved with its direction.

Mulherin brings a wealth of experience to the position, having held senior posts at HP and Dyndrite, as well as founding 3D printing consultancy firm AM-Cubed, while her previous roles as chapter ambassador of Wi3DP’s Portland and Oregon branches, in which she helped grow the group to 23,000 members, is understood to have lent her a strong understanding of its internal structures.

“Nora has created a global organization that has seen explosive growth in recent years,” said Mulherin. “Along with the rest of the executive team, I look forward to supporting the men and women of this community, increasing our partnerships across both additive and traditional manufacturing, and providing the support to further develop our initiatives.”

“I have grown tremendously with this community, both personally and professionally, and I’m honored to be taking over the presidency.”
