I don’t think there has been a day in the last week when Makerbot has not been in the news. And it’s all been fairly hefty stuff.
Today comes news that the company is hosting a recruitment event this week — and for anyone (like me) that had wondered how the company would cope with ramping up, it seems they will do just fine. Makerbot did make the transition from start-up (in garages in New York) to SME virtually seamlessly, at least to the outside world. Now the 3D printing company with 3D ecosystem is gearing up for further, quite substantial, expansion it seems.
When the company says its ‘had an explosive 12 months’ – they’re not kidding! They are currently looking to fill 50 new positions across 35 different roles — from manufacturing, to retail to senior engineering and a few more besides.
On Friday, March 15, Makerbot is holding a recruitment event at its Brooklyn headquarters. The company requests that anyone wanting to apply for one of the available positions submits their resume/CV, cover letter and LinkedIn profile, ahead of Friday, here. And they say that “If everything’s a good fit, we’ll invite you to come join us on Friday for a “speed-dating” style interview with several different managers. The event will last from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and you’ll be scheduled for a 15-minute interview slot.”
All of the available positions can be viewed on the Makerbot website here. Some great opportunities for any one in NY or wanting to move there!!
