Inside 3D Printing Moves Over to Singapore in October

Following three Inside 3D Printing expos across North America, two of which have taken place and reported great success, and a third to take place in San Jose next month, Mediabistro will be hosting a targeted edition of this thriving event for the Asia-Pacific region. Taking place in Singapore at Marina Bay Sands at the beginning of October, this event will do what it does best and bring together global and regional experts in 3D printing in a fantastic location with an emphasis on developments and applications largely specific to Asia.

With the government of Singapore investing $500 million into the country’s advanced manufacturing and 3D printing technologies over the next five years the commitment to the evolving 3D printing industry is evident and makes Singapore an ideal place to hold this upcoming conference. Inside 3D Printing has quickly become “the” event for the 3D printing industry, and this edition is proving to be no exception, attracting exhibitors that include 3D Systems, Stratasys and Materialise Malaysia. 3D Printing Singapore is co-chaired and programmed by Ian Gibson of the National University of Singapore together with 3D Printing Industry’s own co-founders, Ari Honka and Eetu Kuneinen, who reside in the region.

With a full two days of tutorials, conference sessions and workshops already in place, delegates at the event will be able to tailor their time to best suit their needs as well as being presented with the chance to explore the exhibition and network at leisure to explore business opportunities, policy considerations as well as the latest 3D printers and services.

The conference programme line-up is strong, populated with names that may or may not be familiar outside of Asia. Among the list is industry guru Terry Wohlers; 3D Systems’ CEO Avi Reichental; Maltesh Somasekharappa, Wipro’s Head of Business Strategy; Olaf Diegel, Professor of Mechatronics, Massey University, New Zealand; Dr Ranjit Singh GILL
MBBS (Malaya); Sean Looi, Operations Manager, Creatz3D; Roger Chang, CEO, Pirate3D; and Wim Michiels, CEO, Materialise Malaysia.

Registration is open for this exciting upcoming event, and in the run up over the next six weeks we will ensure we share some more in-depth details with 3DPI readers.
