“The world’s first full colour desktop 3D printer” has offered its share of controversy to the scene for some time now. There was a lot of promises made concerning The ProDesk3D 3D Printer by BotObjects with pre-orders being sold out quickly, but since then, customers have had to wait. Now German 3D Printer store iGo3D is offering the first real life footage of the rumored full color 3D Printer in action:

The problem with BotObjects is that they announced the shipping for October 2013 after taking orders only after full payment. While no communication was initiated by BotObjects to tell their customers about the delay of the delivery, they continued to promise that “soon” the printers will be shipped. Nothing to read on their website about their apparent problems, on their Facebook page just one annoyed customer who complained about their “zero communication”, I have finally cancelled my order in January. Having had endless discussions about the approval with the customer service agent, then discussions about the accounts department that it takes them ages to put the refund through, I think I have spent 5 hours on the phone and written 15 emails until today the confirmation of the refund has arrived. With a communication standard as low as BotObjects, this company is doomed. I have even sent them a sample email/newsletter of Lockitron and hoe they deal openly with their problems. …Didn’t help. What a pity … all sounded too good.
Never pay in full upfront for something that is not already in people’s hands… I learned that the hard way a few years back when a company failed to deliver on promises. Anyone who has paid for this already should be fighting tooth and nail to get their money back and order it when it is actually available…. because if they fail to deliver you will never see one cent of your money.
Do not buy this product. Aside from the horrible delays the have one of the worse customer service departments around and lie about their refund time. I have had 10K in their pockets for almost a year. I have been waiting for a refund for 8 weeks.
Botobjects not fulfilling its obligations.
Fact: November 20, 2014 Botobjects ltd took my money (US $ 4,500) to the obligation for 2-4 weeks to ship 3D-printer. Already February 3, 2015. No money, no 3D-printer, no clear answer.
Fact: I filed a complaint with the prosecutor’s office, because I believe Botobjects ltd criminal structures.
3D Systems does not respond to the letter.
3D Systems ignores the requirement to compel Botobjects ltd to fulfill obligations.
Such behavior is unacceptable. This – rudeness.
Fact: Botobjects crooks. Do not pay them a dime. I paid the price of 3D-printer and its cost: no money, no printer, no answer.
