Formlabs Reports Record Q4 2025, Fuse SLS Printers Lead Growth

Formlabs, a 3D printer manufacturer, closed 2025 on a high note, reporting its strongest quarterly results to date. The company saw record sales across multiple product categories, with its Fuse series of selective laser sintering (SLS) printers driving significant growth, particularly in factory and production environments.

Fuse Printers Driving Adoption in Production

According to Chief Revenue Officer Nick Graham, the Fuse SLS line grew more than 25% year over year in Q4, marking one of Formlabs’ largest gains. “More and more customers are using Fuse printed parts to replace traditionally manufacturing tooling in their factories. And customers are leaning into Fuse for end use parts. This shift into more critical applications is the next big wave. And we’re loving it!,” Graham said in a LinkedIn post.

Graham said the Fuse series has become a benchmark in the industry, offering high value at a relatively low cost and seeing adoption across a range of applications. From high-volume tooling to production of end-use components, industries from start-ups to defense contractors are integrating Fuse printers into their workflows.

Specific use cases, including drone production and contract manufacturing, are contributing to the growth of larger Fuse fleets. Data on usage indicates that printers are being employed more intensively over time, suggesting sustained engagement and expanding utility beyond initial purchases.

Record Growth Across Formlabs’ Portfolio

Formlabs’ strong quarter also reflects broader company-wide performance. In addition to the Fuse line, the company reported record revenue, printer shipments, and materials sales. Large-format SLA systems and the dental portfolio also reached all-time highs, demonstrating increasing uptake of additive manufacturing in both industrial and healthcare sectors.

The company attributed its success to the efforts of employees and global partners, who played a key role in promoting additive manufacturing for production-level applications.

“Thank you to all the incredible Formlings that made these results possible. It takes everyone across the company to deliver this much value to customers. And thank you to our amazing partners all over the world who lead with Formlabs and educate their customers about what is possible with additive manufacturing. We wouldn’t be where we are today without you. Let’s make 2026 even bigger!,” said Graham.

Latest Advancements Across Formlabs’ 3D Printing Portfolio

In April 2025, the company launched its new desktop resin 3D printers, Form 4 and its variant, Form 4B, priced at $4,499 and $6,299 respectively. Targeting professionals in diverse fields, these printers aim to deliver improved performance and usability. Representing Formlabs’ fourth generation of desktop resin 3D printers, the Form 4 series possesses high speed, reliability, and material properties. Noteworthy attributes of Form 4 include accelerated print speeds in comparison to its predecessor, Form 3+, completing prints in under two hours for most projects and reaching vertical speeds of up to 100 mm/hr.

In July 2025, Formlabs acquired Micronics, a Wisconsin-based 3D printing startup developing accessible Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) 3D printers. Co-founded by Henry Chan and Luke Boppart, Micronics has generated notable interest since launching the Kickstarter campaign for Micron. The company successfully raised $1,357,939 of its initial $100,000 goal from over 400 backers, before fundraising was cancelled after the acquisition.
