Formlabs Partners with iGo3D to Sell Form 1+ 3D Printers in Europe

Just after announcing an expansion into China, Formlabs has relayed that they will be bringing their desktop SLA 3D printers to the European market by opening offices in Berlin and through a distribution agreement with the large German retailer iGo3D.

The firm’s Berlin offices are their first outside of the US and, with it, the company hopes to firmly establish its European presence, while serving its European customers.  And, via a distribution partnership with iGo3D, the company will sell its Form 1+ SLA 3D printer in their brick-n-mortar locations in Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Oldenburg, Hamburg, and in the near future, Hannover.

iGo3D Co-Founder and CEO Michael Sorkin said of the deal, “We are pleased to offer our customers the best high resolution desktop SLA 3D printer on the market. The Form 1+ brings amazing capabilities at an affordable price for German engineers and designers.” Formlabs Operation Lead Luke Winston added, “The Form 1+ is an excellent tool for engineers and designers, and Germany is known for world-class engineering and design. We’re excited to open our European office in Germany and we’re excited to work with iGo3D to better serve our German customers.”

The move is a significant one for the company, as it grows from a Massachusetts-based start-up to a global player in the desktop 3D printing market.
