Flashforge goes tall with the Guider 3 Plus 3D printer – technical specifications and pricing

3D printer manufacturer Flashforge has announced the launch of its latest Guider series 3D printer.

The Guider 3 Plus is a professional-grade FFF system intended to combine size and speed for a wide variety of users including small enterprises, design studios, engineering workshops, and university labs.

Designed primarily for mid to large-format functional prototyping applications, customers will be able to use the system to streamline product development workflows in sectors such as automotive. Owing to its versatility, the Guider 3 Plus may also have its uses in artistic models and even consumer goods.

Unlike Flashforge’s previous printers, which are often cube-like in nature, the Guider 3 Plus sports a distinct tall-format build volume measuring 350 x 350 x 600mm. This unique form factor also makes it particularly well-suited to long and thin parts such as architectural models, props, and costume components.

The Flashforge 3D printer lineup

Founded in 2011, Flashforge is one of the more experienced companies operating in the desktop 3D printing space. The firm offers an ever-growing portfolio of FFF machines ranging from cost-effective consumer systems to high-performance manufacturing engines.

Besides the Guider series, the company boasts its Adventurer 3 and Adventurer 4 3D printers, a set of accessibility-focused offerings for those on a budget.

Additionally, the Creator range includes the Creator Max, Creator Max 2, Creator Pro 2, Creator 3 Pro, and the Creator 4. These machines provide a heartier printing experience with larger build volumes and dual extruder setups as standard.

The Guider 3 Plus

Flashforge’s latest innovation is a melting pot of intelligent design and optimized features. First of all, the machine is fully enclosed and equipped with a CoreXY coordinate system. This robust setup lends itself to higher print speeds (250mm/s in this case), quiet operation, and stable and smooth movements for improved surface quality.

The Guider 3 Plus also comes complete with a sealed, humidity-controlled filament chamber to keep the active printing materials in tip-top shape at all times. This is crucial for ensuring the print quality of a build in a professional environment.

Inside the build chamber, you’ll find a removable flexible print surface made of steel, which makes part removal as easy as pie. The nozzle situated in the printhead is also backed by a quick-release system for fast changeovers and streamlined part maintenance, greatly reducing downtime.

On the front is a full-color 7” touchscreen and the Guider even has an auto-power off function to limit energy consumption once a build is complete. Flashforge hasn’t cut corners with user safety either, as the system features a HEPA 13 air filtration system for comfortable indoor operation.

Using the FlashPrint 5 software, users will be able to manage the printer remotely from anywhere with an internet connection. Flashforge has even boldly offered “lifetime support” for Guider 3 Plus customers, so system maintenance shouldn’t be a worry.
