UK-based 3D printing service provider EVO 3D, formerly known as J-Supplied 3D, has joined Evolution Sales and Marketing to strengthen its offering to the additive manufacturing industry.
The group has also received £250,000 capital investment which it will use to expand into new locations in Exeter and Huddersfield, and enable it to better serve the needs of the automotive, aerospace, industrial, and prototyping markets.
Martin Jewell, who founded J-Supplied 3D in 2018, said of the move: “The evolution of J-Supplied into EVO 3D means we can focus on innovative additive manufacturing projects like our partnership with Plymouth University and OREC, as well as expanding further into high-value industries like aerospace and automotive.”
EVO 3D’s service offering
Based in Exeter, EVO 3D offers a range of end-to-end additive manufacturing services, including 3D printing and design, 3D scanning, the resale of 3D printers and accessories, and technical support.
The University of Cambridge and sportswear giant Adidas are among the firm’s customers, who leverage its services for a variety of applications within the industry, research, marketing, and hobby spheres. Such components include end-use automotive parts, consumer products, and medical devices like prosthetics and implants.
EVO 3D announced its launch earlier this month, alongside the news that it had received £250,000 capital investment to further expand its operations.
EVO 3D’s expansion plans
With the £250,000 investment, EVO 3D will open new locations in Exeter and Huddersfield in January.
The company’s sales and marketing activities will be relocated to Huddersfield and coordinated with Evolution Sales and Marketing. The department will benefit from sharing space, resources, and experiences with Evolution Sales and Marketing, which offers a complete package of sales and marketing services throughout the UK and Europe for global brands like Cougar Gaming and Patriot Memory.
Meanwhile, the firm’s extended warehousing and logistics operations will move to a 4,000 square foot unit in Exeter’s SkyPark technology center in a move that will see four new jobs created. Over the next two decades, the £210 million SkyPark development plans to become the South West’s most significant business park and create up to 6,500 new jobs.
EVO 3D will also set up a new special projects team at its Exeter location, led by Jewell, which will develop new 3D printing technologies and applications for the construction and renewable energy sectors, among others.
The company’s expansion will enable it to more comprehensively meet the increasing demand for 3D printing services and products within not only these sectors, but also within the aerospace, automotive, industrial, and prototyping markets.
