3D printing OEM EnvisionTEC has launched its Aria series of 3D entry-level desktop 3D printers. The first of these, simply known as the “Aria”, uses EnvisionTEC’s Micro platform and DLP technology.
The Aria 3D printer is aimed at the makers of jewelry, consumer goods such as toys and miniatures and industrial applications.
15 years better
The Aria 3D printer features an industrial-grade UV LED light engine, a dual-axis Z slide and a material tray made of optical glass as opposed to plastic. The Z slide allows Z layer resolution to be set at 25, 35 or 50 microns, depending on material.
Equipped with EnvisionTEC’s anniversary “15-Years-Better” range of firmware and software, offers patented gray-scaling and other “exposure strategy techniques” for improved surface finishing.
Premium accessibility
Available to buy now online with shipping to Europe and the United States, the Aria is EnvisionTEC’s latest 3D printer since this May, priced at $6,999
EnvisionTEC CEO Ali Siblani stated that “for 15 years, EnvisionTEC has been known for its unwavering commitment to delivering professional-grade 3D printers, and we have never wanted to sell a cheap printer.” He added that with the Aria, EnvisionTEC would be delivering a premium product, “but at a more accessible price.”
EnvisionTEC’s open materials system makes it compatible with EnvisionTEC certified materials from other producers, in addition to the EC500, PIC100, QView, and RC90 3D printing materials.
