Shenzhen based 3D printer manufacturer Creality has unveiled its new HALOT-MAGE series resin 3D printers, including the HALOT-MAGE and HALOT-MAGE PRO. These new offerings were launched earlier this month during the company’s 9th Anniversary and Spring Event, “Reflect and Renew”.
The HALOT-MAGE and HALOT-MAGE PRO both offer a 10.3 inch LCD screen with 8K resolution, for high quality printing. These new models mark the latest addition to Creality’s resin printer portfolio, the company having released their first resin machine in 2015.
Creality is a company always keen to listen to its customers, and the HALOT MAGE series has been created with this feedback in mind. Indeed, the company has sought to address a number of concerns aired by Creality customers with regards to the company’s back catalog.
For instance, slow printing speed, with users having to wait overnight with the risk of print failure, was a key issue Creality has sought to address. Equally, issues regarding leftover resin recovery and irritant resin odor, are both issues the company has been keen to fix. The inconvenient lid design and limited size and precision of previous models are also issues the company has looked to address with its new offering.
The HALOT-MAGE base model is available now via Creality online official stores for just $399, whilst the PRO version is priced at $599.

Key features of the HALOT-MAGE series
The print speed of the HALOT-MAGE PRO is a particularly notable feature, addressing the slow print speed concerns regarding previous models. The PRO offers a staggering 170mm/h without sacrificing quality, making it 3 to 5x faster than competing resin printers. The machine’s “Dynax” motion system lifts and lowers the build plate in just 1.2 seconds, allowing customers to produce high quality prints in as little as 1 hour.

As mentioned, both the HALOT-MAGE and HALOT-MAGE PRO possess a 10.3 inch 8K (7680×4320) mono LCD screen, boasting 29.7μm XY resolution, much more refined and anti-aliasing than the 50μm of a regular 4K printer. This sizable LCD ensures a generous 228x128x230mm build volume for both printers. This gives users more space and freedom to create, with miniatures, prototypes and props all able to be rapidly printed.

The HALOT-MAGE PRO incorporates Integral Light Source 3.0, bringing the printers light uniformity to over 90%. This ensures consistent quality across the whole print, enabling 0.1mm hand-removable micro supports. Moreover, with a light intensity as high as 8000μw/㎠, the printer is capable of curing a layer in 1 second with standard 405nm resin. Ultimately, this new integral light allows users to print models with smooth surfaces and crisp contours.
As already noted, a key piece of feedback from previous Creality printers related to the unhandy lid, which had to be removed and then put back after adding resin or fetching the print. To remedy this, both HALOT-MAGE printers include a professional “MegaArch” flip lid that is easy to open and close with one hand, and never needs to be placed aside. Only ¼ taller when opened, the lid also saves room, whilst the orange tint blocks 99.89% of ambient UV light for minimum interference.
Both printers also incorporate a smart air purifier. Powered by the printer directly, the air purifier incorporates a replaceable activated carbon filter that is 5.8 times larger than other filters on the market. Capable of effectively removing resin odor, this purifier can last around 3 months after each replacement. A vent hole is located at the rear of the component to connect the vent tube.

Additionally, the HALOT-MAGE PRO features a smart resin pump for auto resin fill and withdrawal. Able to refill or recover 1 liter of resin within half an hour, the smart resin pump ensures less user input required, and much fewer splashes and stains.

Besides the printers themselves, Creality has also optimized their ecosystem offerings, this being integral to the user experience. With regards to slicer software, Creality offers the self-developed HALOT BOX, which offers a simple workflow and includes many presets. Moreover, the MAGE series is also compatible with external slicer software. For instance, with HALOT-MAGE PRO, customers will also receive a one-year subscription for VIP or CHITUBOX Pro completely free.
Users can also manage multiple HALOT-MAGE PRO printers through the multi-printers control function available through HALOT BOX or Creality Cloud.
Additionally, it is advised that customers match the MAGE series with Creality Wash&Cure station, high speed release film, Creality fast resin, and Creality 8K high precision resin, in order to get optimal performance from their printer.
