BigRep introduces STUDIO G2 at RAPID+TCT – Technical Specifications and pricing

Large-scale FFF 3D printer manufacturer BigRep, based in Germany, will introduce its latest 3D printer at RAPID + TCT, the STUDIO G2. As the successor of the BigRep STUDIO, this system features a new “BLADE” slicing software for greater control of printing parameters and presets for engineering-grade materials.

“We are excited to host the world premiere of the STUDIO G2 at North America’s most influential AM event – RAPID+TCT,” said Frank Marangell, Chief Business Officer at BigRep.

“We believe that both customers already relying on the original machine and new ones will appreciate the many advanced features of the STUDIO G2.”

The BigRep STUDIO G2

The BigRep STUDIO G2, with a build volume of 500mm x 1000mm x 500mm, is designed for industrial applications such as prototyping, tooling, casting, and end-use parts. It features a fast-heating print bed reaching 100°C, and a temperature-controlled filament chamber.

Dual extruders with 0.6mm hot ends are incorporated in the STUDIO G2 for 3D printing high-resolution, complex parts. Furthermore, ruby nozzles are included for processing abrasive, engineering-grade materials like PETG, Pro HT, TPU, and PA6/66at, at maximum speed and high resolutions. These extruders are able to print at layer heights as low as 0.1mm on parts up to a meter long.

Composite materials with carbon and glass, as well as ASA are set to be available on this system in the near future. Stephan Beyer, CEO of BigRep, added, “The new generation STUDIO G2 is a great addition to our expanding industrial portfolio of large format printers. Based on proven, successful technology, the STUDIO G2 is upgraded with key features that industrial users need.”
