Carl Bass, CEO of Autodesk, discusses 3D software development and how it is being used to create almost anything. The next area Autodesk is looking into is biology and providing biologists with tools to create new life-saving technology, such as nano scale robots through the use of DNA in order to fight cancer.
Bass covers a range of technology areas and issues including open source, the internet, design software and, of course, 3D printers. His vision is inspiring.
One excellent point he makes involves startups and how they are easier with the new technologies of today. However, Bass does stress that he hopes to see more and more startups taking responsibility for global problems affecting humanity.
