Anycubic launches Photon Ultra, Photon Mono X Pro, and Vyper 3D printers technical specifications and pricing

3D printer manufacturer Anycubic has announced the launch of three new desktop 3D printers at TCT Asia.

The resin-based Photon Ultra and Photon Mono X Pro systems, and the FFF-based Vyper 3D printer, are all intended to strengthen the company’s position in desktop 3D printing. With innovations like cloud connectivity and higher-than-ever UV light utilization, Anycubic aims to combine performance and affordability in its latest offering, expanding the applications of its 3D printing technology.

James Ouyang, Vice President of R&D at Anycubic, states, “Over the past few years, Anycubic has maintained rapid growth with a continued commitment to in-house research and development of key 3D printing technologies, making it a pioneer and leader in the desktop 3D printer sector. The release of the three new disruptive products is a testament to the company’s extensive industry experience and technological competence.”

The Photon Mono X Pro and Ultra 3D printers

Anycubic’s rise to prominence in the consumer-grade sector can be attributed to the company’s widely-popular Photon series of resin 3D printers. Since selling its first system back in 2015, the Shenzhen-based firm has maintained strong and steady growth while expanding its ever-growing global customer base.

The latest addition to the Photon line, the Mono X Pro, integrates cloud connectivity for the first time. This provided users with smart functionality such as cloud-based slicing, print management, file storage, online upgrades, and remote build monitoring. The system also comes complete with a new 64-bit mainboard, which the company claims will deliver improved computing and graphics processing capabilities.

Anycubic has also debuted the new Photon Ultra 3D printer. Launched in collaboration with semiconductor manufacturing firm Texas Instruments, the Photon Ultra is characterized by its use of DLP technology. With a UV light utilization rate of up to 95%, the system is reportedly far more efficient than comparable LCD printers.

Ouyang adds, “With DLP technology, the new 3D printer increases efficiency threefold when compared with rivals that deploy SLA and LCD printing technology. By combining DLP technology with Anycubic’s uniformly distributed and stable UV light source, the Photon Ultra enables high precision parts and fast printing speeds.”

The Vyper 3D printer

One the other hand, Vyper is Anycubic’s new FFF 3D printer. With a build volume measuring 245 x 245 x 260mm, the machine offers a new intelligent leveling system for one-click leveling and printing. The Vyper’s build plate has also been reimagined, now featuring a special scratch-resistant coating on top of spring steel and a magnetic sticker. Anycubic claims this new bed will resist deformation even at high temperatures.

With a maximum nozzle temperature of 260°C and a dual-gear extrusion system, the company claims the Vyper will print TPU and PETG.

Accessible through a 4.3” full color touchscreen, the UI is available in both English and Chinese. The system is also equipped with a new 32-bit motherboard and a high-performance Cortex M3 architecture main control chip for faster processing speeds. Finally, the integration of a TMC2209 driver reportedly results in silent operation for a more comfortable printing experience.
