Recently San Diego Model Railroad Museum opened its doors to a new education program for 3D printing! There, you can learn the basics of 3D software design and 3D printing techniques in a multi-day workshop. The workshop teacher, Clayton McIntyre also had a hand in designing and printing the Centennial Garden Railway Exhibit which is now on display.
It is really great to see something as old and established as America’s largest model railroad museum (which has been around since 1935) introduce an exhibit using 3D printing techniques. Introducing an education program to help both young and old enthusiasts hone some cool 3D printing skills is pretty great as well!
