3D Print, Build, & Learn to Use Your Very Own Robot

Roboteurs has been deeply invested for some time now in educating students of all levels on the importance and potential advantage that robotics hold for our future. They have provided many university students and teachers with their affordable robotic technology, and are now offering the consumer market a chance to join in on the fun with their new Printabots kits, which are specially designed, 3D printed robot kits provided and designed by the Roboteurs team. These various kits come fully equipped with all the components needed to get the Printabots robot up and running, creating an engineering-like project that can be accomplished by almost anybody with the determination to do so.

What makes Printabots so publicly accessible are the different types of kits that can be purchased depending on your knowledge of 3D printing and robotics. For those with their own 3D printers and experience, Roboteurs offers the STL files for each Printabot free of charge, allowing Makers to print and assemble the kit themselves. Alternatively, for those without the necessary 3D printer or printing experience, Roboteurs will also 3D print the parts for you and send you the entire kit ready to assemble, making this a project that just about everyone is able to construct and enjoy. For those who decide to 3D print the parts on their own, Roboteurs will gladly send you just the electrical components to install yourself ,so you can watch your 3D printed robotics kit come to life. They also offer in-depth previews of the 3D renderings of these kits, allowing you to observe and get acquainted with each robot before you decide to print or purchase the parts to build it.

As of now, there are four Printabots kits up for download or sale, and Roboteurs is planning on adding more to the mix as time goes on. They have released the Arty Bot, which holds and draws with a writing instrument; Funny Feet, a silly robot who walks and dances with duck-like feet; the Grippy Bot, who does just that (grips things); and lastly the QuadraPed, probably the most advanced kit of the four, which was designed to climb rough terrain and move in all sorts of unique ways. By allowing customers to choose the level of difficultly (print each part yourself or get the entire kit sent to you already printed) and also offering us kits geared for varying levels of robotic design experience, Roboteurs have created a 3D printed project that can be enjoyed by all.

The Grippy Bot, Arty Bot, and Funny Feet kits start at $69.99, depending on what parts you need Roboteurs to supply, while the more advanced QuadraPed kit starts at $129.99. Whether you want to design an advanced land drone, like the QuadraPed, or you just want to put together a silly little dancing robot, like the more simplistic Funny Feet, Roboteurs is providing all the necessary steps to manufacturing and learning how to use your very own robot.
