The Expert3D course is back! Open enrollment!
The 3rd Edition of the Expert3D specialization program: Comprehensive Transversal Program in Medical Image Post Processing: 3D Printing and Artificial Intelligence is open for registration!
Expert3D is an innovative training program in image processing and 3D printing led by a tertiary University Hospital (The SJD Barcelona Children’s Hospital) with years of experience in this field in collaboration with other technical and clinical institutions. The course focuses on providing health-related professionals with the theoretical and practical knowledge to apply new technologies and post-processing techniques for medical imaging (3D and AI) to the real day-to-day work. This will be done using real clinical cases taught by 30 experienced and active teachers from the public and private sectors.
After the course, you will be able to perform the planning of a complex 3D surgery, develop surgeon support tools, create an image classification algorithm and more!
The educational program is 8 weeks and 20 ECTS credits recognized by the UPC (Polytechnic University of Catalonia) and the 8 universities represented in the InterAct Health Academy of Medical Sciences.
The EXPERT3D course will allow professionals in the clinical or technical sector to carry out post-processing of radiological images for medical care and research, using advances such as 3D printing, virtual technologies and artificial intelligence. These disruptive technologies have fostered the fusion of engineering and medicine, creating a demand for professionals with new skills that unite the two disciplines.
This is the first diagnostic medical imaging program that targets not only physicians, but bioengineers, computer scientists, senior imaging technicians, and other medical specialists. Given the variety of specialties involved, students will not be required to have prior programming knowledge, although those with that knowledge will be guided to deepen the application of this knowledge in image processing.
This year there will be 5 editions in 5 countries:
• Barcelona Edition: 09/21/2020 - 11/14/2020
• Naples Edition: 09/21/2020 - 11/14/2020
• Heidelberg Edition: 10/01/2020 - 11/29/2020
• Riga Edition: 10/05/2020 - 12/06/2020
• Coimbra Edition: 10/05/2020 - 11/29/2020
This project is an international collaboration between public and private institutions and funded by EIT Health.
