The Fighting Zverse 3D Prints Its Way to Hall of Fame Glory

Let’s say you’re into stadiums. And you’re, like, only into stadiums. And maybe some other sports-related paraphernalia. And 3D printing. Here is a niche 3D printing goods retailer that’s just for you.

Zverse can 3D print just about any stadium you can imagine and already has printed quite a few. You can purchase a handful of 2014 replicas, from the LSU Tiger Stadium (with Expansion) to Florida State’s Doak Campbell Stadium, at about 7″ x 7″ x 2.5″ in size and mounted onto a variety of plaques for $149. More interested in mascots? Zverse currently sells the Clemson U’s Tiger and several incarnations of University of South Carolina’s Cocky the Gamecock. The niche company has also 3D printed logos for several college teams, such as the University of Georgia and Florida State University. And, if you don’t like what you see, but like Zverse’s track record for creating 3D printed college memorabilia, you can contact them about doing a custom job.

The site demonstrates an interesting and, possibly, necessary approach to getting into the 3D printing market at this stage in the game. With obvious 3D printing capabilities and talent, Zverse could have easily become yet another local custom 3D printing service bureau, but they went in a different direction while pursuing what they do best. According to John Carrington, CEO and Co-Founder, Zverse is “a consumer products company that uses 3D printing technology to make products people care about that would not be made otherwise.” What this means is that when a college, high school, professional, or even little league sports team starts looking for a way to 3D print their stadium, mascot or logo, this site will be the first to turn up. Service bureaus or 3D printing shops may be able to print the models, but Zverse, as a consumer-specific business with expertise in 3D printing sports memorabilia, has found a way to stand out in the increasingly crowded 3D printing industry.
