XYZprinting Expands Da Vinci Product Line

XYZprinting, is said to be a world leader in desktop 3D printers, is entering the 3D pen market by introducing the versatile XYZprinting da Vinci 3D Pen. There are already a fair few 3D pens out there, but it is hoped this particular model will really push out the boat for accessibility and 3D printing technology.

Retailing for $49.95 at Amazon, XYZprinting, and other retailers, the new XYZprinting da Vinci 3D Pen enables freehand creations at a low cost without any need for a computer or complex software.

Developed with artists, designers, DIYers, hobbyists and educators in mind, the da Vinci 3D Pen is limited only by the user’s imagination. It has been created with a strong focus on personal projects, small crafts, home repairs and educational purposes.

“The release of the da Vinci 3D Pen has meaningful implications for the future of 3D printing and consumer technology overall,” said Simon Shen, CEO of XYZprinting and New Kinpo Group. “3D printing technology is becoming more attainable for the average user who can now access advanced technology at a reasonable price.”

The da Vinci 3D Pen is compact, mobile and offers a simple making experience. With a push of a button, the non-toxic, biodegradable PLA filament passes through the heated tip of the pen to create a malleable line, which cools quickly so pen users can build upon their 3D designs in minutes. The possibilities for use in the school classroom are endless as students can project their own ideas onto a 3D space without the need of expensive tools.

In keeping with its vision of accessibility, XYZprinting is also releasing another addition to its da Vinci Jr. family, the da Vinci Jr. 1.0 3-in-1, which offers hassle-free versatility for beginners looking to make the move toward more advanced methods of prototyping. Its built-in laser scanning module and optional laser engraver add-on fulfill the demand for 3D scanning and 3D printing all in one machine. The 3D scanner has a resolution of up to 0.25mm, meaning you can recreate your beloved items digitally in great detail. Its optional laser engraver add-on, which is available from XYZprinting online store for $199, allows users to make their own impressions on soft materials such as leather, cork, cardboard, and some woods and plastics

The da Vinci Jr. 1.0 3-in-1 is now available, retailing for $549.95 at Amazon, XYZprinting and other retailers.
