3D Printing

One Week Left to Enter Verbatim and MyMiniFactory's 3D Printing Contest

Not long ago, 3DPI’s Davide Sher covered the release of a new range of filaments from Mitsubishi Chemicals. The Japanese filament manufacturer is starting to pick up traction, finding a reseller for its Verbatim filament in 3D print shop iMakr.  To celebrate the release of the new filament line, MyMiniFactory is hosting a contest that will see your designs as among the first printed with Verbatim 3D printing materials.

The contest will have two submission categories.  The first theme is made up of any 3D printable designs inspired by London, including landmarks, sculptures, football teams and the like.  The winning design will be 3D printed in Verbatim PLA and ABS.  The second theme encompasses flexible designs that will be 3D printed in Verbatim’s Primalloy Flexible filament range, materials that demonstrate oil resistance and mechanical strength, in addition to their stretchiness.

A full list of contest specifics and tips can be found at MyMiniFactory, but the overall guidelines are pretty straightforward: Just think of the most ingenious design to 3D print in Verbatim’s new materials! Each theme will see two winners, with first place receiving $600 + a Verbatim storage bundle and second place taking home $100 + a Verbatim storage bundle.  You’ve got until April 20th to enter, so get cracking!
