Latest Accura Xtreme Material from 3D Systems for Superior Industrial Grade 3D Printing Applications

3D Systems has introduced a new material for its production grade iPro SLA 3D printers — Accura® Xtreme™ White-200 with immediate availability. According to the company this is a tough and durable material for the SLA process with high elongation at break, high impact strength and the stiffness and durability of ABS plastic making it the “gold standard” for part performance and accuracy and extending 3D Systems’ solutions for direct manufacture of end use 3D printed parts.

In terms of applications, the Accura Xtreme White-200 material is suitable for functional assemblies that must withstand harsh environments such as snap fits, master patterns for vacuum casting and applications requiring outstanding toughness, such as automotive parts, drill/tap and mechanisms that must be bolted together.

“Our new Accura Xtreme White-200 material is a revolutionary breakthrough in SLA plastics,” said Steve Hanna, Global Director of Materials, for 3D Systems. “Accura Xtreme White – 200 parts have the toughness and durability of ABS for both prototyping and manufacturing uses.  Best of all, these parts reflect a stunning white finish that replicates the look and feel of an injection moulded part.”

Accura Xtreme White-200 is also available through 3D Systems’ Quickparts service.
