3DPI Hits the Big Apple for Inside 3D Printing Event

The next few days are going to be a 3D printing fest — in person — for a few member of the 3DPI team. Co-founders Ari Honka and Eetu Kuneinen, along with Rachel and Mike are meeting up in NYC and will be attending the Inside 3D Printing conference and exhibition at the Javits Centre, organized by Mediabistro.

With a quality conference programme boasting some of the highest calibre of speakers in the industry, the information being discussed and disseminated across the three days is sure to cause a buzz.

Today kicks off with a full day of interactive workshops — the exhibition and conference start in earnest tomorrow.

The full programme of activities and speakers can be found here. As well as a full line up of sponsors, exhibitors and media partners.

If you’re in town, be sure to stop by and say hi, either that or just grab us if you see us, we’re a friendly lot!

A particular highlight will be the presence of artist Ioan Florea with his 3D Printed Ford Torino. Okay, so the car is not entirely 3D printed, but Ioan used 3D printing technologies, nano-materials and his original transfer technique to customize a classic Ford Torino. Florea has developed a process that produces a “liquid metal” finish with the highest coefficient of reflectivity and attendees at the New York event this week will have an opportunity to meet Ioan within the dedicated Maker Pavilion to learn more about him and his work. Not one to miss.
