ICWAM’2019 is the 2nd edition of the International Congress on Welding, Additive Manufacturing and associated Non-Destructive Testing. For this 2nd edition, the three main topics of the congress will be addressed on both metallic and composite materials to promote synergies among stakeholders.

The congress includes scientific conference & technical exhibition on June 5 and 6, 2019 and industrial visits on June 7, 2019.

How will parts be manufactured in 2030? How will technologies reinvent existing fabrication and monitor processes? How will this affect manufacturing, parts design and lifecycle assessment?
Recent years have seen new techniques in welding and additive manufacturing (AM) trigger new developments in materials science and manufacturing, from modelling and fabrication strategies of parts to non-destructive testing. To encourage synergies, cooperation and innovation among stakeholders along the whole value chain, the program is designed to allow interaction among attendees and promote an active dialogue between students, academic researchers, industrial delegates and representatives in order to bridge the gap between academia, pressing industrial needs and innovative technical and commercial solutions.

Scientific Conference > The conference includes plenary sessions and oral communications (with an active call for paper submission). World-renown scientists will be invited to present keynotes related to their field of expertise in link with the conference topics.
Technical Exhibition > The technical exhibition will run in parallel with the scientific conference. Any stakeholder in the fields addressed by ICWAM’2019, from start-ups to institutional bodies, from research and technology organizations to corporate groups are welcome to come and exhibit their products, services or technologies.
Industrial visits > Visits of production sites and selected R&D centres will include:
- welding and wire-feed additive manufacturing;
- composite welding and processing;
- metal working & transformation.
