3DPrinterOS Announces Private 3D Printing Cloud at CES 2016

3DPrinterOS was created as an easy to use and accessible cloud platform to manage and run networked and remote 3D printers, as well as a system for the secure handling of digital 3D files. This accessibility – along with file safety – is now proving to be an asset for those enterprise customers that need to implement a secure manufacturing platform, remotely accessible by large numbers of employees across the globe.

As CEO John Dogru, a former Lead Automated Manufacturing Engineer at Dell, clarified, 3DPritnerOS can be accessed at the click of a button and it is proven to work through 1000s of hours of testing worldwide. “While working on the private cloud we especially kept in mind the security requirements of F500’s and other enterprises,” he said. The 3DPrinterOS private cloud provides a scalable platform that can easily distribute access to an internal 3D printer network through any web browser, while meeting unique business needs.

“Our goal is to disrupt the $12 trillion manufacturing market by providing a platform that can help save time and resources even beyond 3D printing,” Dogru explained. 3DPrinterOS is building upon the success of its public cloud launched early in 2015. The public cloud saw over 43,000 hours of printing across 4,100 machines in 96 different countries.

Through 3DPrinterOS’ private cloud, enterprises can access advanced data analytics and track the entire lifecycle of every print job, including all revisions and user comments, all from a single interface. This streamlining and money-saving approach was key in attracting manufacturing enterprises like Jabil, Cisco and Ford into using 3DPrinterOS. Companies use it primarily to instantly 3D print via a web browser, and produce qualified parts in multiple locations.

Enterprises face many hurdles when looking to bring additive manufacturing into their workflow. One of these primary concerns is IP security during the 3D printing process, while tracking the IP as it goes from design to the creation of a physical object. The 3DPrinterOS private cloud solves IP concerns, allowing groups to manage all files, users, and machines from a central portal. By being able to leverage the power of the private cloud, enterprises can now easily scale 3D printing programs. Where without the cloud, printers are often utilized by only 3-5 users trained specifically in the workflow of that machine, with the 3DPrinterOS private cloud a single secure workflow can be taught to all users.
